The French Connection – a free talk for Heritage Week
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the connection between Cork and Brittany? Well, now’s your chance.
Art Historian Dr Matthew Whyte from Sample-Studios and Art Historian and Curator Dr Michael Waldron from Crawford Art Gallery will be in Triskel on Friday 23 August to speak about the impact of Brittany both in art history and in the National Collection at Crawford Art Gallery.
Tickets for the talk are free and will be released on Tuesday 20 August 2024 at 10am.
Following the talk, Matthew and Michael will bring you on a tour of Cork/Brittany ‘Maritime’, the exhibition in Triskel Sample Project Space, which stands as a renewed and absorbing testament to the historic artistic ties between Ireland and Brittany.
