Roll up roll up to a journey through windows and mini explosions in this exquisite corpse zine workshop, based on a practice made popular by the surrealists in the 1920s. We will begin by delving into some autonomous drawing warm ups, then participants will be guided in creating a series of your own collages and drawings. After dividing your first work into three sections, you will turn each flap and continue to link to the previous page.

Participants will learn a basic binding technique using a needle and thread to bring your zine together. All materials provided, no previous experience required. Booking is essential as space is limited.

For a look into exquisite corpse drawings, see this link from MoMA: https://www.moma.org/collection/terms/exquisite-corpse

Participants will be given the opportunity to have their zines duplicated to add to the CZF Zine Library.

Please note that open workshops are not devised with large/school groups in mind. If you are making a booking of 5+ tickets, please get in touch with the CZF team to discuss whether this event is the right fit for you.
