Cork World Book Fest 2026

Cork World Book Fest, a unique celebration of books and readings, is run annually every April by Cork City Libraries and Triskel. The first festival was held in Cork in 2005, when the city was European Capital of Culture. The 2026 Fest will feature discussions, workshops, pitches and more. It runs from Tuesday 21 April to Sunday 26 April in venues that include Cork City Library, Triskel Arts Centre, Callanan’s Bar, St Luke’s and more.

Featured writers over the past two decades include John Banville, Amiri Baraka, Claire Keegan, Edna O’Brien, Bernard O’Donoghue, Carol Ann Duffy, Derek Mahon, Colm Toibin, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Pawel Huelle, Drago Jančar, Tracy K. Smith, William Wall and many more.

Cork World Book Fest is a vibrant celebration of the book in all its aspects: combining readings by world class writers. It is an inclusive and participative event, attracting audiences who would not normally attend literary events, and enabling them to experience readings by leading international and Irish writers.
