Paul Noonan and Kingfishr are taking to the Triskel stage in March as part of the Cork St Patrick’s Festival, with Paul Noonan in Cork on Friday 15 March and Kingfishr performing on Saturday 16 March. Tickets for each concert are €25 and are on sale now.
A songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Paul Noonan is best known as the frontman of the Irish group Bell X1 but he has also been performing intimate solo shows around Ireland, playing songs from across the body of work that he has created over the past 25 years.
Limerick-based 3-piece Kingfishr have quickly established themselves as one of the rising prospects in Irish music. Emerging over the last 18 months as part of the newest generation of Irish contemporaries, the band’s grand, atmospheric tone married with their propensity for catchy melodies has resonated with a wide audience.
Tony Sheehan, Artistic Director at Triskel, said, “These acts encapsulate everything that’s great about Irish music at the moment – strong lyrics, powerful performances and a tremendous on-stage presence. We look forward to bringing these talented musicians to Cork.”
Presented by Triskel Christchurch and Cork St Patrick’s Festival, supported by Cork City Council and Fáilte Ireland. Tickets on sale now.
