Kim Crowley is a curator based in Cork City. Her practice is concerned with expanded artist publishing as curatorial practice. Kim’s research explores publishing as public-meaning-making, looking at the possibilities of dissemination both within and beyond the traditional bound object. She is interested in exploring collaborative and generative ways of working while interrogating the function and experience of the exhibition space.
Office of Work (OOW) is a project established by Kim to investigate the needs of artists and arts workers in Cork City. It is particularly concerned with how creative practice can be sustained under conditions of precarity. Over the residency period, artists and arts workers in Cork City booked appointments with their assigned Case Officer, Kim Crowley. The OOW culminated in an exhibition which presented the materials and information gathered through these exchanges.
