This 15 May from 12-2pm, join Viktoria Kondratieva, Cork-based Ukrainian artist, to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day at Triskel Arts Centre in this FREE public workshop!
Visitors will be guided by Viktoria in screen printing custom T-shirts in the Vyshyvanka style, inspired by the iconic embroidered patterns that honour Ukrainian heritage. After that, dive into the world of Petrykivka painting – the beautiful, colourful folk art of Ukraine. You will learn about its floral designs and symbolism, and then decorate your Vyshyvanka-style T-shirt with your own touch of Petrykivka magic. Come create, connect and celebrate the beauty of Ukrainian traditions in a modern way.
