Peter Vogelaar with Conor Walsh & Roisin Mcgrath

May Fest 2026

Two Nights of Immersive Ambient Electronica

The Waterford Electronica producer will perform two intimate nights of ambient and experimental electronica. The performances will take place across two evenings, offering audiences a deep, immersive journey through sound, texture, rhythm and live electronic performance. He is joined by Conor Walsh on drums & guitar and Roisin Mcgrath on piano with special guests on both nights.

Working in the deeper and more emotive side of electronica, his sophomore album Inner Creatures received international attention, landing on playlists including Spotify UK New Music Friday, Ministry of Sound, Kiss FM and EnRoute Records. Standout track ‘Inpulses’ became a firm favourite, receiving extensive playlist support. Having remixed anyone from Josh Ritter to Wyvern Lingo, he is also a frequent collaborator across film, dance, and visual art. Peter’s music has been licensed to HBO, NBC & MTV, including How To Get Away With Murder and has been commissioned to supply audio for various museum installations including TANK in Shanghai.

Following a standout year of live gigs, festival appearances and a memorable closing set at Crossed Wires Festival, Peter is producing a special live ambient set for his concerts at Triskel.

Special Guest

Merrin Karras

Merrin Karras is the ambient project of  Brendan Gregoriy. Active in the electronic music scene since the early 2000s as Chymera, he has been based in Berlin since 2010. His music has taken him to clubs and festivals around the world, performing across nearly every continent.

Since 2016, he has released three acclaimed albums on the US label A Strangely Isolated Place as Merrin Karras, introducing his take on ambient and synth music with a strong Berlin School influence. He is currently wrapping up work on his forthcoming, as-yet-untitled fourth album. His live sets are immersive and driving, built around repeating waves of hypnotic synths, rising arpeggios, and expansive, cinematic pads.

Although Berlin based, Brendan is from Cork and 2 May sees him come to Triskel for the first time for a special homecoming gig.

“Immersive, adventurous… could easily sit on decks or be consumed passively for days on end without feeling tiresome.
