Peter Vogelaar with Conor Walsh & Roisin Mcgrath
May Fest 2026
Two Nights of Immersive Ambient Electronica
The Waterford Electronica producer will perform two intimate nights of ambient and experimental electronica. The performances will take place across two evenings, offering audiences a deep, immersive journey through sound, texture, rhythm and live electronic performance. He is joined by Conor Walsh on drums & guitar and Roisin Mcgrath on piano with special guests on both nights.
Working in the deeper and more emotive side of electronica, his sophomore album Inner Creatures received international attention, landing on playlists including Spotify UK New Music Friday, Ministry of Sound, Kiss FM and EnRoute Records. Standout track ‘Inpulses’ became a firm favourite, receiving extensive playlist support. Having remixed anyone from Josh Ritter to Wyvern Lingo, he is also a frequent collaborator across film, dance, and visual art. Peter’s music has been licensed to HBO, NBC & MTV, including How To Get Away With Murder and has been commissioned to supply audio for various museum installations including TANK in Shanghai.
Following a standout year of live gigs, festival appearances and a memorable closing set at Crossed Wires Festival, Peter is producing a special live ambient set for his concerts at Triskel.
Special Guests
Daniel Luke & Lizzi Murtough
Daniel Luke Smith is a Dublin-based composer and pianist whose emotionally resonant music has begun to make waves in both the screen and concert music worlds. A graduate of Pulse College’s Scoring for Film, TV and Interactive Media programme, Daniel has composed original scores for a number of short films, including The Fingers Suite written for artist Bobby Fingers’ latest film.
Blending classical training with a rich palette of contemporary, and neoclassical influences, Daniel creates evocative scores that serve the story while retaining a distinct musical identity. His recent pieces ‘All In Light’ and ‘My Father’s Son’ – featured on RTÉ Radio 1 – exemplify the intimate and expressive qualities that define his work along with an evolution in his sound.
Beyond the screen, Daniel’s music has reached audiences across Ireland and Europe, with performances at Glastonbury, Other Voices, All Together Now, and the National Concert Hall. His 2023 debut album Shadow Dance and his recent release ‘My Father’s Son’ (for piano and cello) reflect the same sensitivity and nuance that he brings to his film compositions.
Whether writing for film or the stage, Daniel’s music is grounded in storytelling, emotion, and atmosphere making him a compelling voice in the world of screen composition.
Joining Daniel is Lizzi Murtough, a Dublin-based cellist, singer and songwriter. Her performance styles range from neoclassical to trad to fringe folk, and she plays regularly with Daniel Luke, Rattling Ark (Kevin Murphy) and the next new low (Brian Mooney).
