ECM at Triskel | Guinness Cork Jazz Festival
Two internationally renowned artists associated with the record company ECM celebrate the 80th Birthday of ECM Records founder Manfred Eicher.
The concert also marks the 40th anniversary of the ECM New Series Recordings, one of the most significant body of recordings of contemporary and classical music in the world today. For Triskel, the concert will include some familiar classical works as well a stunning solo performance by Anja Lechner of music by Valentin Silvestrov. We are delighted to welcome Ukrainian families to hear the music of this great Ukrainian composer live. There will also be a special encore of ‘Cill Cais’, the beautiful arrangement of the traditional Irish tune by John Gibson who is fondly remembered.
