Experience the best in Independent and world film in a fully digital cinema based in the unique surroundings of a stunningly refurbished 1700s neo-classical church. Triskel Arts Centre in the heart of Cork city screens two titles each week with additional special events, film strands such as Experimental Film, Horror and monthly Shorts.
- Tickets for films rated ’12A’ and ’15A’ can be purchased for persons under the ages of 12 and 15 only if accompanied by an adult guardian (of 18 years or older).
- Tickets for films rated ’16’ can be purchased by and for persons of 16 years of age and over only (valid ID may be required).
- Tickets for films rated ’18’ can be purchased by and for persons of 18 years of age and over only (valid ID may be required).
- Tickets for films rated ‘NC’ can be purchased by members only, of 18 years of age and over only (valid ID may be required). Members must be over 18 years of age to attend films rated ‘NC’.

- Full Membership can be purchased online. All other memberships need to be obtained at our Box Office. Please note, we do not process memberships in the 30 minutes prior to a screening.

Come to our storytelling morning, celebrating the importance of faith, religion, holy wells and traditional cures for Irish Travellers. Organised by Cork Traveller Women’s Network and Storyteller Paddy Doyle. Supported by CCC Arts.

Creating Connections – Traveller Lives: A VR experience

Time: 18:00 – 20:00Irish Travellers are an indigenous ethnic group with a unique culture and heritage. “Creating Connections, Traveller Lives” is a 12-minute immersive Virtual Reality experience exploring Cork Traveller traditions. Produced by Linda Curtin with Cork Traveller Women’s Network. Commissioned by the Traveller Accommodation Unit, Cork City Council, funded by Dormant Accounts.
Venue is not accessible to wheelchair users. Suitable for over 12s only. Viewed through a VR headset sitting in a swivel chair. Viewing not recommended for people with photosensitive conditions or vertigo.
Booking: Limited Capacity. Viewing is in half hour slots and will operate on a first-come-first-served basis.
Maitiú Mac Cárthaigh: Sonic Lineages

Time: 18:00 – 20:00Keen, Moan and Whisper with Triskel Sample Project Space Artist in Residence Maitiú Mac Cárthaigh
What is the voice and how should it sound? How should we record it? Visitors are invited to keen, moan or whisper and become part of Artist in Residence Maitiú Mac Cárthaigh’s installation in TRISKEL SAMPLE Project Space this Culture Night. You’re invited to listen and to record your own whispers, singing and screaming to create your own keening score/recording. This interactive intervention for Culture Night draws on research from Zeynep Bulut and the words of Ann Carson and is part of Maitiú’s ongoing project questioning what is included in histories, lineage or inheritance – where is the deviant voice and what would it sound like?
VIVA VHS! (18+ only)

VIVA VHS! is a salute to the king of 1980s home entertainment: the video cassette. This is a mondo gonzo collection of coming attractions from classic and cheesy movies of yesteryear, presented in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
