Jane Campion Season
Triskel Arts Centre presents a selection of films directed by New Zealand director Jane Campion. She won international acclaim for her 1993 feature film THE PIANO, for which she became the second ever female filmmaker to be nominated for the ‘Best Director’ Academy Award. We will be screening THE PIANO along with two other Campion films: THE PORTRAIT OF A LADY, which is based upon the Henry James novel of the same name, and HOLY SMOKE, in which Kate Winslet gives one of her most memorable screen performances.
