Experience the best in Independent and world film in a fully digital cinema based in the unique surroundings of a stunningly refurbished 1700s neo-classical church. Triskel Arts Centre in the heart of Cork city screens two titles each week with additional special events, film strands such as Experimental Film, Horror and monthly Shorts.
The Irish Film Classification Office (IFCO) certifies each film according to the following system, and Triskel Arts Centre is obliged by law to only admit customers who meet the age criteria set by the classification of each film. Valid ID may be required.
- G: Suitable for all, including children of a school going age.
- PG: Generally suitable for children aged 8 and over.
- 12A: Suitable for people aged 12 and over, or for younger people if accompanied by a responsible adult.
- 15A: Suitable for people aged 15 and over, or for younger people if accompanied by a responsible adult.
- 16: Suitable only for people aged 16 and above. Younger people may not be admitted by law.
- 18: Suitable only for persons aged 18 and above. Younger people may not be admitted by law.
- NC: Films marked “NC” (Not Certified) have not been granted certification by the Irish Film Classification Office. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and they require a Triskel Cinema Membership, which may be purchased on an annual or per film basis.

“A new and innovative kind of movie for the new millennium!” is how TIMECODE was described upon its original release 26 years ago. Directed by the Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Mike Figgis (LEAVING LAS VEGAS, INTERNAL AFFAIRS), this is a satirical melodrama about sex, power, jealousy and rage in Hollywood, following a diverse range of Los Angeles players over the course of 98 minutes.
TIMECODE was revolutionary at the time for its use of digital video since the action unfolds in real time with no cuts and the screen is presented in four quarters, meaning four cameras were rolling simultaneously for the entire duration of the running time (something that couldn’t have been achieved pre-digital with celluloid film). The result is a work that is experimental in presentation and technique which is also exhilarating, surprising and often very amusing. TIMECODE is best experienced on the big screen, do not miss this rare opportunity to see it this way.
