Story Slam Cork Fighting Words
Cork World Book Fest 2026
The teenagers of Write Club, Cork’s brilliant youth writing group hosted by Fighting Words at Graffiti Theatre, are teaming up with the dynamic young event organisers of Waterford’s Lit Festival to co-host Cork’s very first Story Slam for young people.
Story Slam is an exciting open mic event created especially for 13–18 year olds from across the island of Ireland. It offers a welcoming stage at Triskel Arts Centre where young writers and performers can share up to 5 minutes of their stories, poems, unfinished scribbles, snippets from an epic saga or their songs with a supportive audience of fellow creatives.
Whether you’d like to perform or would prefer to come and listen, everyone is welcome. Admission is free, but booking is essential — so sign up, bring your words, and be part of an unforgettable celebration of young voices.
