Eamonn Walsh in Concert
Eamonn Walsh opens his Christmas tour at Triskel Arts Centre, Cork, on Friday 28 November. Join him and his special guests for an intimate evening of music to kickstart the festive season.
Over the years, Eamonn’s Christmas concerts have become a much-loved tradition with audiences growing year after year. Last year’s show in Mitchelstown sold out in under 24 hours and this upcoming tour promises an exciting mix of Christmas favourites, classical gems, and popular tunes.
This year, Eamonn toured the UK as a Wild Arts Young Artist, covering the role of Nemorino in The Elixir of Love. He went on to tour with Barefoot Opera in their production of Lucia di Lammermoor (performing Arturo), made his Wigmore Hall debut in a masterclass with tenor Nicky Spence and took part in Hurn Court Opera’s Emerging Young Singers programme with Patricia Rozario OBE. Eamonn has also performed widely as an oratorio soloist across the UK and Ireland, singing works such as Haydn’s Creation, Mozart’s Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah. His international experience includes Fidelio and Carmen with the Irish National Opera Chorus, as well as staged opera scenes in Venice with Vox Integra. Eamonn is no stranger to Cork’s audiences, having performed as Prince Charming in Cork Opera House’s panto Sleeping Beauty in 2022 as well as singing as a boy soprano with leading Irish artists such as Cara O’Sullivan, Evelyn Grant and Frank McNamara.
He will be joined by special guest artists including Cork natives Georgina Cassidy (Pianist), Anna Marie Sheehan (Soprano) and James O’Sullivan, as well as a Cork-based string ensemble.
