Congratulations to all the nominees of this year’s Oscars but especially to local boy Cillian Murphy! He got the nomination for Actor in a Leading Role for his part in Oppenheimer. Cillian is a big part of Triskel’s history, having performed in Corcadorca production Disco Pigs in what was then the main auditorium at Triskel. We wish him all the very best for the awards ceremony on 10 March!

Chris O’Neill, our Head of Cinema, is continuing his winning streak of picking the films that get all the award nods! The following are showing over the coming weeks:

• The Boy and the Heron (Sun 11 – Wed 14 Feb)
• Anatomy of a Fall (this was one of our first films in 2024 and is back for one screening only on Sat 17 Feb)
• Poor Things (Sun 18 – Wed 21 Feb)
• The Zone of Interest (Sun 25 – Wed 28 Feb)

And in the recent past, we showed Oppenheimer (September 2023), Past Lives (October 2023) and May December (December 2023).
