Meet the Arts Council Sessions
Meet the Arts Council is an invaluable opportunity to meet with Arts Council teams to ask questions in an informal environment, to find out what funding or programme is suitable for you, to develop partnerships and meet with peers.
This event is one of five taking place between 19 January and 2 February 2024. Four events will take place in-person and one will be online. At these sessions, you can talk to Arts Council staff about funding opportunities and hear more about what the Arts Council does.
What can I expect at the event?
- The event will run for 4.5 hours from 11am – 3.30pm
- Tea and coffee will be served on arrival.
- The event will open with a brief introduction from a senior member of the Arts Council and one other speaker.
- After this, Arts Council staff will be seated at desks in the event space. You can visit the artform team(s) or staff members that are relevant to your practice. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, and staff members will be happy to provide advice and respond to specific queries on the funding schedule and proposed applications. Arts Council teams will be available throughout the day for informal discussions.
- Please note there is likely to be high demand for some teams, so you may be required to queue before your opportunity to speak with the relevant staff members.
- Light refreshments will be provided for lunch.
Additional information on the content of the event will be shared in the coming weeks.
Event Accessibility:
High quality FFP2 masks will be offered on entry. Masking provides benefits as well as barriers to communication and participation, so we invite you to make the choice that is right for you. Please note that speakers will not wear masks while speaking on stage.
The event venue is a large, well-ventilated theatre space that also allows people to socially distance should they wish to do so.
The event space will be a relaxed environment, so feel free to come and go as you please.
A seating area will be provided for anyone who may need a break from the main space.
We can provide early entry for those who may need it.
If you have any questions about access, or have specific access requirements, please email Access Officer Vanessa Carswell access@artscouncil.ie and she will do her best to assist you.
