To mark Cork Traveller Pride 2019, Cork Traveller Women’s Network in association with Triskel Arts Centre presents this special screening of the acclaimed film Float Like A Butterfly.

Float Like A Butterfly is director Carmel Winters’ acclaimed second feature, and picked up the IFFC award at this year’s Toronto Film Festival. The film follows Frances, a 17-year-old Traveller girl and aspiring boxer, who must also contend with the patriarchal expectations of her father, an old-fashioned and hard-drinking man recently released from prison.
