167 mins – United Kingdom 1965/1966 – Dir: Gordon Flemyng
Starring: Peter Cushing, Roy Castle, Jennie Linden, Bernard Cribbins and Roberta Tovey

With the huge success of the original Doctor Who television series on BBC, two feature length movies, both starring Peter Cushing and shot in glorious widescreen Technicolor, were released in cinemas to huge box office success (the first film was the 13th most popular film at the British box office on its year of release). Triskel is delighted to present DR. WHO & THE DALEKS (1965) and DALEKS’ INVASION EARTH 2150 A.D (1966) as a special double feature presentation.

DR. WHO & THE DALEKS

TARDIS is the latest invention of Dr. Who. A Time And Relative Dimension in Space machine, it can transport passengers to another world, at another time. With his granddaughters, Barbara and Susan, Dr. Who demonstrates the machine to Barbara’s boyfriend, Ian. Ian trips and stumbles against the control panel and the four humans are instantly ejected away from earth. They land in a vast, petrified forest and soon Dr. Who finds himself involved in a terrible struggle as the peaceful people fight for their survival against the terrible domination of the monstrous Daleks.

DALEKS’ INVASION EARTH 2150 A.D

Earth is an eerie and sinister place in 2150 AD. Subjected to a ferocious Dalek invasion, it has been bombarded with meteorites and cosmic rays. Its cities have been smashed and human beings turned into living dead men – Robomen – able to act only on radioed instructions from their masters. Only a small group of resistance fighters holds out in London. But then a brilliant scientist, Dr Who, is transported into the future by a time and space machine. He arrives determined to destroy the Daleks…
