Join artist and art teacher Áine Andrews as she looks at of some of the best known and loved artworks.

Each week she will choose a work from one of the major art galleries in Ireland or Europe and bring it to life with stories of the artist and links and connections with the painting’s often lesser known rich and fascinating background.

This season’s eight lectures feature works from the Crawford Gallery Cork, the Dublin City Gallery – Hugh Lane, The Tate Gallery London as well as several other art museums in Paris and Madrid.

Áine taught art at Coláiste Choilm for many years and is the author of ‘Appreciating Art’ published by Gill education. She gives talks and presentations on art history to students and teachers in many venues around the country.
