As curator of the 6 Summertime Concerts Series, Aoife Burke will present a selection of Romantic works from the cello and piano repertoire, accompanied by the inimitable Ciara Moroney.

A first-class honours graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, Aoife has won numerous prizes both at home and abroad, including the Capuchin Order Perpetual Cup and Bursary at Feis Maitiú, Cork, the Bach Prize and Clyde Twelvetrees Cup at Feis Ceoil, Dublin, the Special Festival Prize at the Clandeboye Festival, Belfast, and the Raphael Sommer Scholarship, London. An avid recitalist and chamber musician, she has collaborated with The Vanbrugh and The Ficino Ensemble, and has performed in venues across Ireland, including the John Field and Kevin Barry Rooms, NCH, Castletown House, Celbridge, and the Crawford Art Gallery, Cork. As a soloist with orchestra, Aoife has performed at home and abroad, most notably with The New York Concerti Sinfonietta at Carnegie Hall, generously supported by Culture Ireland. She is grateful for the generous support of the EMI Sound Foundation, Cork City Council and the Arts Council.

She is a lecturer in piano and coach-accompaniment at the CIT Cork School of Music. Ciara has a Postgraduate Diploma in Accompaniment from the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Andrew West, Michael Dussek and Colin Stone.
