National Heritage Week is a wonderful platform for families to come together to get involved in a wide range of activities together. This year we want to encourage families, young and old, to get out and connect with the heritage that is ingrained in all of us.

For the older generation, the week is an opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge of Ireland’s heritage with children and grandchildren, in particular reflecting on the changes that have taken place over the years.

For families of all ages, it is a chance to take a break from the daily grind and explore the hidden treasures of our heritage, whether it is our built, cultural or natural heritage.
