Triskel Arts Centre is recruiting for Publicity Assistant (CE position)

Publicity Assistant – WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS.

The position will be in the Marketing Department. This is a developmental opportunity, no experience is necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Duties will include.

Distribution of Triskel print material under the guidance of the PR & Marketing Manager

Ensuring all in-house print displays are up to date

Attend weekly marketing meetings

Developing marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing team

Developing and nurturing relationships with businesses and people in the city especially Hotels and B&B staff

Keeping up to date with Triskel Arts Centre’s events and promote responsibly with the patrons and organisations you come into contact with while on duty

Researching Artists and Groups programmed at Triskel Arts Centre to ensure you are fully briefed on the programme

Gathering newspaper clippings and archiving according to company policy when needed – occasionally

Proofreading documents to prepare for print and email jobs – occasionally.

Copywriting to create content for social media, web, email and print when needed – occasionally.

Assist with marketing department duties and support to other department members

A love of the arts and popular culture as well as a love of meeting people would be an advantage.

Great personality to act as organisation ambassador

Familiar with operating a computer
A self-motivator
Ability to keep calm in busy or stressful situations

ABOUT TRISKEL ARTS CENTRE

Triskel Arts Centre is one of Irelands leading cultural institutions based in the heart of Cork City. It was founded in 1979 and five years ago the organisation restructured moving the main venue into the stunningly restored adjacent Christchurch.

Triskel Christchurch is a multi-disciplinary space offering the public a heritage venue, cultural cinema, live music, visual art, literary events, educational workshops, an alternative wedding venue and more. The space is usually open seven nights a week and Tuesday to Saturday open from 10am as a gallery and heritage space.

Triskel Gallery Space is Triskel Arts Centre’s dedicated visual art gallery space.

Theatre Development Centre is a studio space dedicated to the development of professional theatre showcasing to the public each Friday evening.
