    Social Media Assistant – WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS.

    The position will be in the Marketing Department of Triskel Arts Centre. This is a developmental opportunity, no experience is necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

    Duties will include.

    Operating Triskel Arts Centre facebook and twitter accounts under the guidance of the PR & Marketing Manager

    Attend weekly marketing meetings

    Develop marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing team

    Keeping up to date with Triskel Arts Centre’s events and promote responsibly through social media platforms

    Researching Artists and Groups programmed at Triskel Arts Centre to develop interesting content for the social media channels.

    Monitoring Media Coverage online and in hard copy.

    Gathering newspaper clippings and archiving according to company policy.

    Proofreading documents to prepare for print and email jobs.

    Copywriting to create content for social media, web, email and print.

    Assist with marketing department duties including distribution, displays, and support to other department members

    A love of the arts and popular culture as well as an aptitude for social media and marketing would be an advantage.

    Developing and nurturing relationships with businesses and people in the city especially Hotels and B&B staff

    Keeping up to date with Triskel Arts Centre’s events and promote responsibly with the patrons and organisations you come into contact with while on duty

    Researching Artists and Groups programmed at Triskel Arts Centre to ensure you are fully briefed on the programme

    Gathering newspaper clippings and archiving according to company policy when needed – occasionally

    Proofreading documents to prepare for print and email jobs – occasionally.

    JOB DESCRIPTION – Events Assistant

    The role of Events Assistant has the following specific responsibilities.  However, other duties may be assigned from time to time and therefore flexibility in all matters is required.

    The successful candidate will to report to the Facilities Manager and/or other person/s to be advised with regard to all duties assigned, must take responsibility for all duties assigned, must follow-up each assignment and report back as required.

    Duties will be varied but will include:-

    • Assist Facilities Manager and Front of House Manager with administration of Events
    • Assist with planning and preparation of technical and production requirements for ongoing programme of activities including exhibitions and live events
    • Assist with rehearsals, installations, sound-checks, get-ins & get-outs of artists
    • Performance of any other duties associated with Projects of an occasional nature, which may be assigned from time to time

    Training

    • Will be provided as necessary in areas relevant to the work being done

    General

    • General duties as required in consultation with the Facilities Manager
    • You are required to sign in and out of work each day at reception
    • Punctuality is very important

    The role of the Lighting/Sound Assistant has the following specific responsibilities.  However, other duties may be assigned from time to time and therefore flexibility in all matters is required.

    The Candidate will report to Facilities Manager of Triskel Christchurch and/or other person/s to be advised with regard to all duties assigned, must follow-up each assignment and report back as required.

    Duties will be varied but will include:

    • To assist Technician with setting up lighting/sound events
    • To liaise with Wedding Programmer and customer needs
    • To maintain all equipment used to do with lighting/sound events
    • To write up condition reports on lighting/sound events
    • To prepare the venue for screenings with blackouts and mood lighting
    • To assist with any duties assigned by the Facilities Manager
    • To have working knowledge of lighting operation.

    Training

    • Training can be provided to improve skills.

    General

    • General duties as required in consultation with the Facilities Manager
    • You will be required to sign in and out of work each day
    • Punctuality is very important
